Business Links

Free Things for Everyone.
I’m going to step outside the box for a few moments and rather than rant or write about another happening in our society, I thought I’d do something constructive: provide you with a list of links to free things!
This is the very same list I used to provide my Business Management class.
Below you will find a comprehensive list of companies on the internet giving away their services or products.
I am providing this list for informational purposes only and am in no way responsible for anything that may happen to your happiness factor should you find something below that you could actually use.
I wish this list were more comprehensive, but I’ve recently revisited the list so I may make it a permanent page here on the blog. Leave some feedback on the types of free things you are looking for and I will do my best to find a free alternative.

Linux.org (Pasted on February 19, 2010 by Kenneth J. Nelan)
This is a site that can help you decide which free version of linux you should download. At the very least it will help guide you though the initial concepts of this totally free, and much more stable operating system. (Did I mention free operating system? No more having to chose between 15 different versions or having to pay a couple hundred dollars. But if you think about switching, you must read all you can. Linux is NOT like Windows. It’s better!!!)

OpenOffice.Org (Posted on February 03, 2009 by Kenneth J Nelan.)
This is perhaps one of the greatest free (did I mention free) Office productivity software of all time. It will read, write, open, save, just about any format out there today. All you have to do is download it and install. Free!!!!! Not only will you save a couple hundred dollars by NOT buying the Microsoft equivelent, but you will be able to open virtually any document type AND even open and save Microsoft Office formats.
It comes with a writer, spreadsheet, database, presentation (powerpoint) and even a drawing program. It’s definitely worth checking out
React OS (Posted on February 03, 2009 by Kenneth J Nelan.)
This is the completely compatible with everything Micro$oft, completely newly written, Windows XP LIKE operating system. It is NOT Windows, but will have the look, feel and compatibility with Windows programs. (and it will install in a virtual machine without a problem.) It is still in the Beta stages, but well worth watching over the long term until it’s finally into production.
