To Limit, or to Heal?

Think of a time when you felt good or bad based on something you heard. It can be something that was played for you as in a piece of music, or it can even be the sounds of your immediate environment, or words spoken to you as a child or young adult.

In the past people have though about such sounds as car crashes, waterfalls or fountains, a child screaming, a child laughing, and even the sound of a hand pounding on a door. One person even reported remembering how they felt when they were assaulted verbally by a parent.

All these things and more are things we hear with great regularity without even so much as noticing their presence, but even if we are unaware of them, they affect us in some way.

A UCLA study that revealed that the average one year old child hears the word “no” more than 400 times per day!

Think about that for a moment.  A child, by the age of one, hears the word “NO” 400 times per day or more.  I don’t know about you, but I’d be pretty fed up by the age of 5 and forget about being a teenager, I’d want nothing more than to prove my parents wrong by any means.

I truly believe that because of how many time we hear the word no, we often we limit ourselves and cannot look beyond a limited circle. We limit ourselves by our thoughts and beliefs, but the wider we can look at the world and ourselves, the greater are our possibilities.  Any limits are within our minds, and it is up to us to rise above them.

It may take some time until things start to change. Simple, small demonstrations of this power may come fast, but bigger results may need a longer time to happen. The time and effort put forth in this study are really worthwhile. Have patience and results will start appearing. Be aware of the small changes. They may have big results.

What we visualize affects our attitudes, moods and state of mind. This means that we have to be very careful with what enters our mind. Thoughts are visitors, but when the same kinds of thoughts frequent the mind often, they become permanent residents. Do you accept and allow anyone to come and stay at your home? If you don’t, why do you let thought do that?

Creative visualization is important in energywork and energy healing in that if one must be able to visualize the health and wellness both within the self, and for the person being healed. If one is unable to visualize a healthy outcome, then it becomes more difficult to achieve the goal.

When we are able to visualize our, or someone else’s health, we are communicating our intention for, and even beginning the process of true healing, even if the only healing achieved is one on an emotional level. All parts of a person need equal amounts of attention.

The opposite can also be true. If one is constantly lead to believe they are ill or are unwell, then eventually it may come to pass that they become ill, or at the very least feel as if they are when they may not be.

Guard well your thoughts because the next limit you place may be on your ability to help someone else, or at the very least to help yourself.  Open your mind to new possibilities and allow for the unknown to be a positive part of your life.

Trust me, allowing the energy to do what it needs, when it needs can lead to the most glorious of awakenings!

Peace to all.
